Casting the Vision

In the midst of mourning significant losses in my life, I decided to take a much-needed six-month sabbatical. It was a time for me to pause, rest, and deeply reflect on my journey. I knew that when I returned, I wanted to be more intentional and aligned with my inner self. No more playing small or dimming my glow to please others around me. I was determined to embrace my authentic empowered self fully, I was resolute on this!

During my moments of reflection and meditation, one question kept echoing in my mind, ‘What do you have in your hands?’ This led me to journaling, where I meticulously gathered my thoughts, memories, past projects, successes, failures, networks, and past associations. Brilliantly, this process birthed, shelved, or resurrected various ideas and projects.

One of those resurrected projects is Living Colour Magazines. Looking back, I wholeheartedly believe that this idea would have been ahead of its time a decade ago. However, I now sense that it’s primed and ready for ‘such a time as this.’ Remembering
