This is one of the prominent Brisbane towers in the financial and commercial district, commonly referred to as the 'Golden Triangle'. This is currently (2014) the fourth largest tower in Brisbane.
History:
This skyscraper, designed by Harry Seidler contains 53 storeys and rises 200m above ground to roof. A communications mast adds an additional 50m to its overall height.
It is a mixed use building, with 11 car park levels, 25 commercial levels and 12 residential levels, including 50 penthouse apartments. The area that this building occupies was the last vacant waterfront block in the CBD in 2006.
With its 200 m height it held the record for Brisbane's tallest building in 2005 and 2006. It currently has slipped back to fourth position. It is notable for its 50 m communications mast.
Building Materials:
The exterior design of the Riparian has a segmented facade, relating to the different types of use of the different segments.
