URPoint Details
UnrealAR's Headquarters and R&D Centre.
Hangar 107 is the global headquarters for Screamer Media and its products including Business Acumen magazine and UnrealAR.
Hangar 107 also featured as the Los Angeles Fire Department's airborne division in the Hollywood blockbuster movie San Andreas, which starred Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
During and after World War II, Hangar 107 was the base for the RAAF's Tiger Moth pilot training unit. Hangar 107 still features the Tiger Moth Squadron maintenance board, which has been restored by Screamer Media.
In the 1970s, 80s and 90s Hangar 107 was the aeronautical engineering workshop of George Ditchmen and Son, after whom the boundary roadway was renamed as Ditchmen Avenue.
Now Hangar 107 is a digital publishing 'skunk works' for new ideas and platforms developed by Screamer Media.
So far, that includes Business Acumen magazine (founded 2004), UnrealAR and Trips Magazine (created in 1996, with the UnrealAR brand created in 2010). Screamer Media is also the producer of Australia's oldest conservation publication, Wildlife Australia, founded in 1962 as part of the formation of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland.
