Thor Ragnarok city movie scene

THE SCENE in which Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) are transported to a New York city street at the site of a wrecked building in Thor Ragnarok was, in fact, shot at the corner or Albert and Margaret Streets in Brisbane, across the road from the Royal Park Hotel.

The scene took place on the corner site of a recently demolished building, hence the 'wreckage' needed was already in place. The corner block has since developed into a Probuild construction site.

The project on the site is expected to become one of Brisbane's tallest residential towers.
