Wardingarri Way follows the historic trail of the Star of Taroom’s return to Iman Country.
Wardingarri Way
The Wardingarri Way initiative is the creation of a permanent 600km walking trail between Fernvale (near Brisbane) and Taroom.
The proposed year-round trail would mostly follow the Star of Taroom’s original route home to Iman Country, conducted in 2021.
Like the famous Camino Trail in Spain, the Wardingarri Way will create an avenue for personal reflection, conversation and transformation.
The Wardingarri Way will create economic opportunities for First Nations Communities, Farming Families and Towns – and foster a spirit of collaboration between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities who live and work along the trail.
