World War Two air crash site - Ziegenfusz Park

Two RAAF Wirraway aircraft, on a training flight, collided over Moreton Bay on February 13, 1942, killing all four pilots and crew.

One of the aircraft came down in this area of Bay Street Thornlands, now known as Ziegenfusz Park. The other came down in the Ormiston area, close to Cleveland Cemetery.
